Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 12.13.43 PM

HITTING LEAGUE RULES

  • Each game is 30 minutes long or 7 innings.
  • 2 players per team.
  • Each player gets 10 swings per inning.
  • Each team will be allowed a warm-up inning prior to the start of the game.
  • Sections of the net at the side and rear of the cage will be marked for scoring.
  • Helmets must be worn at all times.
  • In the event a player misses a game, a replacement player may be used.
  • Teams that forfeit will receive the lowest point game total for that week for their division.
  • In case of a tie, a one inning playoff will determine the winner.
  • Prizes will be awarded to each age division team winner.
  • A Catalyst staff member is responsible for keeping track of stats and score during the game.
  • WEEK 4 STARTS WITH A CLEAN SLATE AND THE PREVIOUS THREE WEEKS WILL NOT COUNT TOWARDS DETERMINING A WINNER.

Some things to remember:

  • The first three weeks are scored cumulatively, so it doesn’t matter who your team is matched up against, you always want to get the best score possible. This also helps with scheduling flexibility.
  • The fourth and final week is championship week and the top two teams from each division will play for the grand prize and the other teams will be scheduled to play for consolation prizes.
  • Always arrive 10 minutes early to make sure we all start on time.
  • You can expect an email every week at the beginning of the week with the upcoming schedule
