About Us

Catalyst Baseball is home to the Catalyst Cardinals youth & high school competitive baseball program. We field teams from 8u-18u (depending on the year) during the summer and fall seasons. We provide off-season and in season training.

We work hard to develop athletes with a mix of great communication, fun, targeted drills, & objective measurement that helps them become their best selves.

Scott

Instructor / Summer Head Coach


Scott grew up in Cheyenne where he lead his high school team to 4 consecutive state championships, while collecting all-state honors twice and captaining both the football and baseball teams. He then went to Mesa Community College in Arizona where he set the single season record for fielding percentage by a second baseman and was also an Academic All-American. He then signed with Regis University and finished out his playing career. Scott’s coached in Cheyenne for Post 6 and was an assistant for 3 state championship teams.

J.T.

Instructor / Manager


J.T. grew up in Evergreen and attended Mullen High School, where he was an All-State baseball player. He then played at Central Arizona College. He then signed at UNLV, where he played for a year before transferring to play closer to home at Regis University. At Regis, he was the team captain and earned NCBWA All-American and Academic All-American honors. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, and after college, J.T. played professionally in the United States, Australia, and Europe.

Walker Hamilton

HS Summer Coach / Instructor


Coach Walker Hamilton played for Catalyst and CA throughout high school before playing college ball at Ursinus College. He has coached at Colorado Academy and with the Catalyst High School program over the last three seasons. He has been a huge asset to the coaching staff. He pays close attention to detail and works extremely hard at his craft, which has helped him become an elite-level coach with a knack for player development.

Rey Garramone

Instructor / Coach


Rey grew up in Denver, CO, and attended Denver North High School as a two-sport standout (basketball & baseball). He would become the only player drafted out of North HS in 50+ years when the San Diego Padres selected him in the MLB Draft after his senior year. He would go on to play affiliated ball with the Padres before transitioning to coaching. He has coached for the Catalyst High School program and was the pitching coach for Colorado Academy High School. Additionally, he has coached at every youth level. His depth of knowledge is impressive, and he has a passion for helping young athletes improve and grow on and off the field.

Stacio Salas

Instructor / Coach


Coach Salas brings a strong background in both playing and performance training to Catalyst Baseball Academy. He played two years of junior college baseball before transferring to Ottawa University Arizona, where he earned his degree in Exercise Science. After college, he joined the Texas Rangers organization, starting as an intern and advancing into a full-time strength coach role while also contributing to on-field player development. Coach Salas specializes in helping athletes improve movement efficiency, build strength, and develop a deeper understanding of the game—equipping players with the tools they need to succeed at the next level.

Luca Dincola

Instructor / Coach


A Lakewood native, Luca Dincola played for Catalyst Baseball from age 14 before continuing his career at Lakewood High School and the collegiate level. He spent two years in junior college in California, where he earned two Gold Gloves as a center fielder in the Central Valley Conference. Luca went on to play at the University of Texas Permian Basin and Southwestern College. He specializes in outfield development and brings added value from his experience as a college reliever and closer. He also served as an assistant coach for the Colorado Academy varsity team during the 2021 & 2026 seasons.
